New Scam on Telegram: Fake Cosmetic Services Ads
A new scam is spreading on Telegram, disguised as advertisements for cosmetic procedures. Fraudsters lure victims by offering free or extremely cheap treatments, only to disappear with their money.

How Does the Scam on Telegram Work?
Scammers create ads or post messages in popular Telegram channels, promoting free or heavily discounted cosmetic treatments. These often include Botox injections, fillers, facial cleansing, or laser procedures.
Victims are asked to book an appointment through Telegram, after which an “administrator” contacts them, requesting a deposit to secure the spot or cover material costs. Once the money is transferred, the scammers vanish, blocking all communication.
Another version of the scam involves inviting victims to a shady salon, where they are pressured into purchasing expensive treatments or signing contracts with hidden credit obligations.
Signs of a Scam
To avoid falling victim to this scheme, watch out for these warning signs:
- Prices that seem too good to be true – free treatments or discounts of 70–90% off real prices should raise suspicion.
- Lack of verified information – if the “cosmetic center” has no official website, reviews, or licensing, it’s a red flag.
- Advance payment requests – most legitimate clinics allow payment only after services are rendered.
- High-pressure tactics – if you’re being urged to pay immediately, it’s likely a scam.
How to Protect Yourself
Before choosing a clinic or specialist, take the time to research thoroughly by reading reviews, verifying credentials, and ensuring they have a legitimate license. Avoid sending money upfront to unfamiliar businesses, as this could expose you to fraud or financial loss. Be especially wary of promotions that seem too good to be true, particularly those that request sensitive personal or banking details. If you encounter a suspicious or fraudulent account on Telegram, take action by reporting it to Telegram support to help protect yourself and others from potential scams.
What to Do If You Get Scammed?
If you’ve already fallen victim, contact your bank immediately to request a chargeback. Also, consider filing a report with the police or cybercrime authorities. The more people report these scammers, the higher the chances of stopping them.
Stay cautious and don’t trust offers that seem too good to be true!
